Who it's for

Is this service right for you?

  • Businesses replacing an outdated or hard-to-edit website
  • Marketing teams that need to publish pages without a developer
  • B2B companies whose website should produce qualified enquiries

The problem we solve

The site looks dated on phones, loads slowly, is hard to update and does not turn visitors into enquiries.

Common signs

  • A website that does not reflect the quality of the business
  • Slow pages and weak mobile experience
  • Content updates that depend on developers
  • Poor search visibility and low conversion

Scope

What's included — and what isn't

Included

  • Sitemap, page templates and content structure
  • Responsive design for phone, tablet and desktop
  • Build on an agreed CMS with editor roles and reusable blocks
  • Forms, analytics events and basic technical SEO
  • Redirects from old URLs and launch checklist

Not included by default

  • Copywriting and photography unless added to scope
  • Ongoing content publishing after launch
  • Paid hosting, domain and third-party plugin licences (billed to you directly)

Website Development

What you can expect from the build

Responsive by design

Each template is designed and tested at phone, tablet and desktop widths — not only shrunk from desktop.

CMS editing

Your team edits text, images and page sections in the CMS. We agree which blocks are editable before build.

Content and migration

You supply final copy and approve pages. We migrate an agreed number of existing pages and map redirects for the rest.

Performance and accessibility

We target good Core Web Vitals on key templates and WCAG 2.1 AA for colour contrast, headings, keyboard use and form labels.

Launch and maintenance

Launch includes DNS cut-over support and a post-launch fix window. Ongoing updates, backups and security patches are a separate maintenance plan.

Concrete deliverables

  • Information architecture and content plan
  • Design system and page templates
  • Accessible, responsive build
  • CMS setup and editor training
  • Performance, SEO and analytics configuration

Technology we commonly use

  • React
  • Next.js
  • Headless CMS
  • WordPress
  • Vercel
  • Cloudflare

Final technology is confirmed per project.

How the engagement works

How we deliver website development

  1. Step 1

    Discovery

Goals, audiences, sitemap and content inventory.

  2. Step 2

    Design

Key page designs and the component library for approval.

  3. Step 3

    Build and content entry

CMS build, migration of agreed pages, forms and tracking.

  4. Step 4

    QA and launch

Device, accessibility and speed checks, redirects, then go-live.

Example

Illustrative example: a 20-page B2B services site

  1. 1.Content audit of the old site keeps 12 pages, merges 6 and retires the rest with redirects.
  2. 2.Six reusable templates (home, service, industry, article, about, contact) cover every page.
  3. 3.The marketing lead publishes new articles in the CMS without developer help.
  4. 4.Enquiry forms send to the sales inbox and are tracked as conversions in analytics.

Illustrative scenario to show how the work runs; not a specific client result.

FAQs

Website Development — Buying Questions

Which CMS do you use?

We recommend a CMS based on who edits the site and how often. Options include headless CMS platforms and WordPress; the choice is confirmed in discovery.

Who writes the content?

By default you provide final copy. Copywriting can be added to the scope if you prefer us to draft it for your approval.

Will we lose search rankings when we relaunch?

We map old URLs to new ones with permanent redirects and keep key page titles and content, which limits ranking loss during a relaunch.

Can my team update the site after launch?

Yes. Editors can change text, images and page sections. Structural changes to templates are usually handled by a developer.

Is hosting included?

Hosting is billed by the provider to you. We help set it up so you remain the account owner.

What happens after launch?

There is a post-launch fix window for defects. Ongoing updates and improvements are covered by an optional maintenance plan.
